Senior SEM Manager (Search and Shopping)

Full-Time in Brooklyn, US - Performance Marketing

Good Moose is a young performance marketing agency under Red Antler. We are committed to delivering best-in-class growth marketing and paid media services for a diverse range of brands. We're looking for a Senior SEM Manager with extensive experience working in the paid search and shopping realm. In this role, you'll be a part of a growing media team that focuses on driving conversions and revenue but also helps to define a full-funnel approach to media efforts. In this position, you will gain unparalleled exposure to the entire brand process, from pre-launch to scaling, and build extensive knowledge of best practices in the media industry. Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning
    • Audit existing paid search accounts to identify areas for improvement
    • Complete keyword research and design the foundational structure of accounts as they are onboarded
    • Research competitor, seasonal, and industry trends to evolve the non-brand strategy for brand partners
  • Execution & Implementation
    • Oversee the day-to-day management of paid search and shopping campaigns, ensuring that the campaigns are achieving their goals
    • Oversee optimization of channel performance through structural changes and testing (ad copy, bid strategies, audiences, campaign restructuring)
    • Create and ensure that all QA processes are followed
  • Thought Leadership
    • Continuously evaluate the paid search media landscape
    • Identify and build testing opportunities for clients
    • Develop paid search media POVs and thought leadership pieces as needed for clients
    • Contribute to the development and documentation of paid search media best practices
  • Analysis & Reporting
    • Assist in weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for clients
    • Monitor competitors and industry trends, provide SQR reviews and keyword mining for clients
    • Provide actionable recommendations to improve channel performance

Qualifications

  • Paid Search/Shopping Experience: 4+ years of experience in Google Ads & Microsoft Ads, with digital media planning and buying management experience primarily focusing on setting up and optimizing paid search and shopping campaigns. (Additional platforms/channel experiences, display, and video, in particular, are a huge plus!) Need to have an understanding of how Paid Search & Shopping impacts and compliments SEO, Paid Social, Display, and other digital strategies for full-funnel performance media.
  • Client-Facing Capability: You are an exceptional communicator with an astute understanding of how internal brand teams work and how best to work with and build successful relationships with those team members.
  • Analytical Ability: You have strong experience with data analytics. You have a clear understanding of how to read data in order to build insights and make recommendations. You are also able to understand how best to visualize and deliver those insights and recommendations to clients, based on what KPIs are most relevant to them and how they process and prefer information.
  • Direct Response Experience: You have a strong direct-response, lower funnel-focused background, driving relevant business results for clients. You have a thorough understanding of best-in-class practices for these tactics.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets Skills: Including, but not limited to, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, chart building, etc.
  • Feed Management: Understanding of how to optimize feed for paid media. Experience with feed management tools (i.e. Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch, Sales & Orders) is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail & Organizational Skills: It is imperative to exhibit consistent exceptional attention to detail with sharp organizational skills for this role.
